The Wisom of Oneness
The Abyssinian wolves live in Bale mountains national park in Ethiopia in a Afroalpine habitat at an altitude of ~4000m. Only ~500 species of the Abyssinian wolf are still alive and it is the rarest canine species in the world.
On our trip to find this species we spotted wolves with cubs and I could observe them the next day by sitting at the foot of a rocky hill at about 100m distance. The following day I moved closer and after waiting for a couple of hours the male wolf stood suddenly in front of me and looked at me and decided that I was ok. The reward was that the cubs showed up and were playing a hunting game in front of me. I felt like being one with the wolves in perfect harmony.
Feelings in a frozen Swamp
"As guest of Conny Lundstrom I had the priviledge to stay in his hide in a frozen swamp in Northern Sweden for 5 days. Beautiful light, a goshawk, golden eagles, (black) woodpeckers and an intense feeling of oneness, a paradise in the snow (and -20C)"
Dance of the Starlings
What a gift of nature when 80.000 starlings gathered in the town of Utrecht, close to where I live , which enabled me to watch this marvelous dance of the starlings, the attacks by peregrine falcons and finally a starling rain into the trees when the night arrived.
Bosque del Apache from the inside out
"An amazing week surrounded by snow geese and cranes in Bosque del Apache made my heart sing. A blast off' of snow geese creates incredible flows of whites in the wetlands surrounded by mountains. Flocking red-winged blackbirds visited the corn fields and the elegant calling cranes decorated the sky at sunrise and sunset."

A beautiful and exciting nature trip through Brazil yielded unique encounters beyond imagination .......rare and endangered Golden Lion Tamarins , Jaguars and much more.......
My friends in Nomansland
A week in the midst of nature in Nomansland, between the borders of Finland and Russia, connected me with the life of bears and wolves. Beautiful sunset light, late evening and early morning fog and close encounters created deep and intense experiences of happiness.
Voices of the Inner Self
A week in Nomansland between Finland and Russia in the midst of nature followed by a week in the Norwegian fjords opened up a different expression of creativity in my photography. The focus on details changed towards capturing emotions and feelings in context. Preconceived ideas slowly started to evaporate and new challenges appeared. The current compilation reflects this new personal journey and the first recent steps.
Norwegian winter feelings
Snow, sun, - 20C to- 30C , wind and beautiful nature were the ingredients of a fantastic week in Norway. A hide in the mountains (see my blog) and in the forest yielded close encounters with Golden eagles and a Gosshawk. Roe dee and mooses were daily guests, while we observed lynx, artic fox and wolves in a restricted area.
Emotions of the soul
This video reflects my photographic experiences during a boat trip of a week beginning of May 2009 in the Norwegian fjords. Beautiful serene light conditions until late in the evening , exceptional sunset , reflections, backlight of herring gulls and white-tailed sea eagles. Moments of deep emotions and great happiness in the midst of nature.
